TCAHA Youth Rep Hockey 2010-11

TCAHA offers competitive Rep hockey for youth ages 9 to 18. The winter season Rep programs offer competitive hockey at a higher level than House hockey.  The program requires more practice time, higher ice costs, and more out-of-town travel than House.  The costs listed are for registration only and are mandatory for all players. Additional expenses are required for equipment, uniforms, extra ice, travel, etc., depending on each team's decisions.

A tryout fee in the amount of $100.00 for each player who attends must be paid or the player must register with TCAHA prior to attending any try-outs(s) will be charged.  All Registered players in each division shall be eligible to attend Rep team tryouts for their natural age division. Players wishing to play on any full time rep team throughout the season are required to attend the first tryout of the top-tiered team. The only way to maintain eligibility for a full time rep team without attending the first team tryout for the respective age division is to have written permission from that age division’s top tiered coach. This means if you cannot attend the first tryout, you must contact the highest tiered coach and registrar and get their approval. A supplemental tryout may be held, throughout the season, at the request of the highest tiered coach in a division.

All tryouts below are at the Toyota Arena.

Bantam age players are developing physically into adulthood, resulting in a more physical and spirited approach to the game of hockey. While hockey fundamentals are stressed at all ages, the needs of Bantam players, both on and off the ice are somewhat different than they were at the younger age divisions. Sportsmanship, team play, and skill development are stressed, while enjoyment of the game is recognized as a key component to keeping
players involved in youth hockey through the teenage years.

While Bantam age players are still growing, Midgets have reached adulthood physically (size and strength). Midget age players often have jobs, cars, girl friends, boy friends, and increased scholastic demands. At times, fitting hockey into their busy schedules can be difficult. These factors are taken into account when scheduling and planning our Midget program.
