Chuck Mantello Scholarships - Youth Programs
APPLICATIONS DUE BY SEPTEMBER 1, 2024

Full and partial scholarships are available for house player registration fees.  The TCAHA Chuck Mantello Scholarship is funded through direct donations, as well as proceeds from our public skates.  Please note that TCAHA does not grant scholarships for rep hockey, nor for any team fees beyond registration. All applications for a Chuck Mantello Scholarship will be considered and granted based on the following criteria:

• Availability of funds
• Financial need of the parent(s) and child applicant
• Academic record of the child applicant
• Special personal circumstances of parent(s) and/or child applicant
• Number of years with TCAHA
• No outstanding team or association balance from prior years

If you would like to be considered for a Chuck Mantello Scholarship, please complete and submit all of the following documents:

1. TCAHA Scholarship Application Form
2. Explanation of any special circumstances to be considered
3. Letter of interest from the player stating why they want to play hockey
4. Letter from parent/guardian stating the importance of hockey in the applicant's life
5. Copy of most recent parent/guardian income tax return -or- proof of government assistance
6. Copy of applicant's most recent report card

Scholarship applications that are received prior to the program registration closing date will be considered for full scholarships. Those scholarship applications that are received after the program registration closing date, but before the final payment is due will be considered for partial scholarships no greater than the outstanding balance at the time the application is received. All application forms and information submitted will be kept confidential within the TCAHA Board of Directors. Please send the completed application including copies of all required documents to the address below. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

TCAHC Scholarships - Youth Programs

Eight $500 scholarships are to be awarded for the 2024/2025 season.  The Tri-City Adult Hockey Club Scholarship is funded through a direct donation from the Tri-City Adult Hockey Club.  The adult hockey players in our area recognize the needs of youth hockey players and only wish to encourage the growth of hockey in our area.  TCAHC is excited to grow the game, and help build future adult league players.  Please note that TCAHA does not grant scholarships for rep hockey, nor for any team fees beyond registration. All applications for a TCAHC Scholarship will be considered and granted based on the following criteria:

• Availability of funds
• Financial need of the parent(s) and child applicant
• Academic record of the child applicant
• Special personal circumstances of parent(s) and/or child applicant
• Number of years with TCAHA

The Dru Hammond scholarships are a way to honor Dru’s legacy with promoting youth hockey.  Very close to her heart were new first year players as well as Girls in hockey.  Therefore, these scholarships which are not needs based are given out by raffle at the October board meeting.  One scholarship drawn for a first year hockey player and one scholarship for a girl hockey player in TCAHA.  The scholarships are a full reimbursement for registration to the awarded recipients.
